Pretty much like Dr. Katz, I also overlooked Home Movies back then.
Maybe it was due the art style, which in my opinion was much cruder looking than Dr. Katz, almost resembling the kind of scribbles a kid would make using Microsoft Paint.
Or maybe it was the way in which the show was promoted in my country, making it look as something pretty stupid, but I never gave it a chance back then, not even after reading the good reviews written here on Imdb.
Now that I've finally seen a couple of episodes, I regret my decision of not watching this series while it was on air.
Despite the poor art-style, Home Movies had a pretty clever writing, and likeable characters, deserving all the praise it got online.
Personally I think Coach McGuirk steals the show from the very beginning, being a rather lovable character despite being a jerk.
I definitely will continue watching it, rediscovering this series is like finding a buried treasure.
