Humble Maria (1995–1996)

The most nostalgic thing in the world.

It is one of the best soap operas in Mexico and the world. A fact that proves this is the brilliant performance of Soraya Montenegro (Itatí Cantoral) and Maria Hernandez (Thalía), in which they were able to show their talents in fights, climaxes and emotions that happen as the story unfolds. The soap opera's instrumental is great, just like the opening song, which is catchy (and also tells the story of the soap opera), as it has a catchy salsa rhythm. Maria's partner, Luís Fernando (Fernando Colunga) is a bad guy throughout the entire soap opera, but the couple showed chemistry despite everything. Luís Fernando's brothers drank tea while disappearing in the middle of the soap opera, not even appearing at the end of it. Several shameful but funny scenes, typical of a Mexican soap opera. The characters must have had a lot of fun behind the scenes of the recording, because I laughed a lot with everyone, especially with the uneducated Maria and Carlota, the gossipy maid in the house - the best maid in Mexico - by the way. The Brazilian dubbing (in which I watched the soap opera) made everything much better, and all the voices fit very well with the characters they were assigned to. I saw it three times with the same emotion as always. Love much!
