Review of Waiter

Waiter (2006)
3/10
Surrealism infused with broken humour
13 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
In all honesty, I liked the surrealism in this movie but the violence was unnecessary and repetitive, it didn't make sense to me as if why the character should suffer without any reason. Also, the fact the that viewer knew Edgar's identity too soon took away a major part of the "ambiguous" plot I was hoping to see. The scenes were totally random in every take and the movie as a whole didn't make sense or deliver what was Edgar's life and character is all about, the only thing you'll associate Edgar with when you finish watching is "suffering" and that's it, no more to his character or goals, just an empty character delivery, and the fight scenes are there to cover up for this obvious remark.
