The depiction of synesthesia is neat. The backdrop of Brazilian-Newark culture is creative and unique in Hollywood. Some of the bits with the puppet are funny, but overall the dialogue is corny. And the painfully predictable plot is almost entirely the same as Forgetting Sarah Marshall. The protagonist was broken up with in the first scene because he couldn't pay attention in one relationship, and then he tries to keep up with two? Shocking that he fumbles it.
Ultimately this movie did what it tried at well, and did everything else mediocrely. I watched till the end, but probably won't recommend it to anyone.
