The filmmaker created a brilliantly artistic work of art that was also loved by the general public. This work deserved an Oscar. An incredible twisted tale of a film that juxtaposes the present with the horrors of World War II. The actors are real artists. The director, the screenwriter, deserved an Oscar. The film is old, but the very imaginative storytelling is unique and fantastic for the modern age. An unforgettable creation. It was the most powerful and serious role of Chris Sarandon's life.
