I'm not sure what Sony was shooting for here, but I can't exactly say I was impressed. This kind of feels like they just wanted to one-up the panic attack scene from Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
The animation and score are nice, as expected from something Spider-Verse-adjacent, but Miles kind of just has the panic attack, and... that's it.
I also don't see why this couldn't have just been part of one of the movies. It's very clearly just reused/repurposed footage, at least in part.
I don't know, maybe you could call it a matter of EXPECTATIONS, but this didn't do much for me. Seems like they're trying too hard.
