When the boxer he is training is killed, 70-year-old Danny Trejo teams up with 68-year-old Danny Glover to take down an international drug cartel run by a diplomat.
I took a look at this because I enjoyed the first movie. However I will not be looking at the third movie in the series any time soon. It is one of those movies in which old guys limp along until it becomes necessary for them to do something like, oh, dodge two men with blazing automatic weapons, whereupon they do a jump and roll. Or their stunt doubles do. The cat is eked out with eight-year-old Melany Ochoa, who is missing her front teeth, and various other actors who were, no doubt, glad for the paycheck.
While I understand that Trejo is not going to star in KING LEAR -- unless that ancient Briton is going to kick the butts of his daughters' husbands -- I have grown weary of septuagenarian action stars. Can we give it a rest?
