Warning: Spoilers
Okay, I get the gyst of this story regarding the crime going on, but the way it's told hardly flows in a sensible way. Sheila Ryan is a reporter who gets in trouble for trying to get the scoop on documents involving European oil fields and some murders that are tied in. Ryan ends up being locked in a room (guarded by Jodi Gilbert, a gentler looking version of Hope Emerson) by police lieutenant Paul Kelly and his gambler/detective pal, Kent Taylor. I guess that Kelly is out to solve the crime and doesn't want Ryan mucking things up.

A messy script that seems to have eliminated some necessary details is the main fault of this second rate film noir with a few amusing comic elements. Ryan trying to fool Gilbert so she can escape is amusing, utilizing her hat as a key prop. Marion Martin, Jerome Cowan and Renee Carson are tossed into this stew that adds too many inappropriate ingredients. The film really just seems to establish no real purpose, and that's the main problem. The positive element is that it's over in 65 minutes, but only at the end does anything remotely sensible appear to be revealed.
