While I like the Johnny Lee Miller one the absolute best this version was great back in the day. I love it still. For the time it was done extremely well. I watched this several times and bought the vhs that was available at the time. They are pretty faithful to the book. Although I know the chemistry between Emma and Knightly are far better in the 2009 version this one was great until we had it. I do love this version as well even though it is old fashioned and not as visually interesting but like I said this is what we had back in the day and as a young teenager I adored this! The acting I believe was live so it really was very very well done.
