Night of the Living Dead(1990) was a decent remake! What works compared to the older predecessor was: A higher budget then original. The original was on a low budget which hurts. Being in color gives the remake more depth. The streetwise, 80's tough chick movie gal gives a new spin on a old tale. I kind of liked, how nasty the metal style gal ends the film! What does not work: Night of the Living Dead story was too close to the original. If you are a horror fan and saw the classic nothing new here. If you did not see the original, the remake was just another zombie movie; seen one seen them all. Not bad for a zombie movie, but watch the Dawn of the Dead remake instead. 5 or 6 stars.
