1/10
Frankenstein Island is absolutely terrible.

I recently watched Frankenstein Island (1981) on Tubi. The storyline follows a hot air balloon that crashes on an island with Dr. Frankenstein's Family. They discover the experiments never ended, and they may be next.

Directed by Jerry Warren (Zombie Teenagers) and starring Robert Clarke (The Man from Planet X), Steve Brodie (The Caine Mutiny), Cameron Mitchell (How to Marry a Millionaire), John Carradine (The Grapes of Wrath), and Katherine Victor (The Wild World of Batwoman).

What a disaster this movie is. It's one of those low-budget films where everything feels amateurish, as if a group of neighbors made a film. The cinematography, props, attire, and settings are all poor. The background music is cliche and cheesy, and the dialogue worsens as the movie unfolds. The horror elements are lacking, and the threat of experiments falls short. The female characters aren't bad but also aren't great. The most notable part of the movie is when the locals smoke weed out of human skulls.

In conclusion, Frankenstein Island is absolutely terrible. I would score this a 1/10 and strongly recommend skipping it.
