Fans frequently consider Detective Conan: Captured in Her Eyes a masterpiece because of its superb characterization and poignant moments. Given its greater coherence and consistency compared to its previous installment, I would contend that this was the first Detective Conan movie to get the format right.

Ran's loss of memory following a horrific encounter with the murderer accounts for a large portion of the emotion. It is an extremely harsh thing to go through that Conan, as Shinichi, is powerless to aid her. Ran is still her amazing self, though, just as she was when she was with her memories. One of my favorite things about her and the reason I adore this movie so much is undoubtedly the fact that she continues to choose to see the bright side of things even after the occurrence. The ending in Tropical Land, which features some of the most inventive settings in a Detective Conan film, is one of my favorite portions of this film.
