2/10
Unrecognizable

While working in a comic book store in the 80's I saw a lot of change come to the DC Universe, but none more amazing than Crisis on Infinite Earth. I don't know what this is supposed to be, but this isn't it. Race and gender swapped, I could cringe, but still enjoy - but this was just, a travesty. A poorly contrived story, that bears little if no resemblance to the original.

Warner Bros. Used to stick pretty close to canon, I watched almost everything they did. Sometimes it was like watching the characters come right up off of the page, and onto the screen. It's not fatigue that is killing the industry, it's poor storytelling, and the lack of understanding of an underlying mythos that has endured, and nourished fans imagination, for more than 70 years. I know, because I lived them. It feels almost like a betrayal. If you have no idea about what lead up to this unique moment in comic book history - you might like it. All I can say, is that it just makes me sad.
