The real star is Far North Queensland

Warning: Spoilers
Screen Queensland had it's fingerprints all over this one, and it shows.

The scenes where Delta Goodrem's Dana is flying over turquoise blue ocean, islands of green and white sand, are worth their weight in tourism dollars, and then some.

People around the world will watch 'Love Is in the Air' on Netflix and want to come to Queensland. And with the stunning imagery, you can't blame them. It's a shrewd marketing move.

Standard Hallmark-type plot: William Mitchell arrives from London to sell off Fullerton Airways, a small aviation operation that is the only connection to outlying destinations across Far North Queensland for food, medical help and other things.

Of course, William, decidedly a fish out of water in Australia, falls in love with pilot Dana as he's sizing up how to get rid of her family's livelihood and that complicates things. You can probably guess how it'll end...

Cast-wise, there is Our Delta (as beautiful as ever), veteran Australian Roy Billing as Dana's father and Joshua Sasse as William Mitchell, and Sasse's claim to fame in these parts is almost marrying Our Kylie (Minogue, if you didn't know). Delta and Sasse have decent chemistry and Billing is as reliable as ever.

This film seems to be one people either loved or hated. I guess I land (pardon the pun) in the former category. The tropical scenery and Delta being the star definitely helped.

Seven stars for the movie and an additional half-star each for the Drop Bear and Ashes cricket mentions.
