Warning: Spoilers
I have to admit that while I watched a ton of Christmas movies and specials, there were so many more that I missed! Anyway, this was a good special, but I wouldn't call it a classic. It was too bad we didn't get to see more of Frosty playing with the kids. The plot is, well just listen to the song. They added an evil magician which is where the hat comes from. It's a nice touch, but it seems like they're trying to put too much into a special.

The animation holds up extremely well and it's great to watch. It's great to see Jimmy Durante appear as a cartoon version of himself. Karen's the only real kid character who's important to the plot. The most emotional part is when Frosty melts. I mean, you really do feel for Karen in this scene. While rushed, still a fine cartoon, even though it's not on the level of something like "A Charlie Brown Christmas". ***
