Although the movie is very predictable almost entirely throughout, Mo'Nique plays her multifaceted character so well her performances breath life into the film. Charity Sereal also delivers consistenly great acting throughout the movie and has phenomenal chemistry with Mo'Nique, especially in the climax of the movie.
However, the movie just falls a bit flat to me. There's really no satisfactory explanations to a multitude of events that go on throughout the movie. Even minor stuff, isn't even really consistently explained. Just presented. A lot of the story building just seems rather shallow and rushed in this way.
All in all, worth a watch simply for Mo'Nique's performance and Chasity Sereal's performance.
