No pun intended - the spin to the known Tarzan story ... well it is one thing if you like to see something like that. I am surprised it is not mentioned in the connections to the movie. You also have to suspend your disbelief ... the movie is a relic of its time. Adriano Celentano was quite the big star in his day ... so it is interesting to see him go or rather play a bit of an ugly character role ... not that I would call him an Adonis.
But looks aside, he was quite the womanizer ... for whatever reason. I reckon his character was the reason ... but you know what I mean. There may be issues with sensibilities when watching this ... there is also nudity and situations that ... well some people may feel offended by. Again, different times, other vantage point ... not too much care or thinking of others.
Humor did not try to take everything into account - for better or worse. You be the judge ... I'd say some of the things did not work at all .. and the beginning is almost too silent for the most part ... I reckon we had to fill the time somehow ... with something ... before the relationship was ... made and accepted and all that. I believe Adriano did do better movies ... but this is a quite well known one nevertheless.
