Christmas and cynical do not match, but that is the battle that takes place on this Christmas Train! When a morose journalist takes a train from D. C. to L. A. things start happening. A clepto, a fortune teller, and Max Powers (Danny Glover) all make this Hallmark Hall of Fame something to enjoy.
The cast has several noticeables including Dermot Mulroney, who plays the main actor Tom, Danny Glover, and Joan Cusack as Agnes (think School of Rock quirky principal).
The plot is lovely and will endure the season. Tom rides a train home to LA for Christmas. Also on the train, unbeknownst to him is former flame Eleanor (Kimberly Williams-Paisley). Because it's a Hallmark, no spoiler here, the old flame because an ash pile and then emerges as a glorious phoenix as love is kindled and reborn!
