There was an eerie sense of realism to this film about a tenant, Vince James, who rents a room in a house from Faith Davis. The tenant suddenly becomes a nasty squatter, and the owner virtually becomes a displaced person. Such incidents are not uncommon today for landlords and home owners because the law has come to endow tenants with excessive "rights."
It may have been a stretch that Faith, who was a realtor, was so naive that she failed to run a thorough background check on Vince. As it turned out, his real name was Wayne Travers, who choked Sarah Malone when they were students at Valley Ridge High School. Apparently, Wayne was expelled, yet somehow became so erudite that he is now a professional tutor!
Faith may have been pushing the envelope when she started "poking the bear" by entering Vince/Wayne's room while he was sleeping and phoning his clients to ruin his prospects as a tutor.
Faith's ex-boyfriend Jeremy Higgins was identified by her bestie Jaden as "an emotionally stunted man-child." But Jeremy was worth his weight in gold when he came to the assistance of Faith against a complete nut case.
Overall, this was a compelling yarn with a solid ensemble cast. Angela Cole was terrific as Faith, and we look forward to seeing her in many more Lifetime films!
