Though I love Dolly's personality, I've never really known her music much. I was hoping to get a good taste of it. Sadly, the editing was horrendous. Some songs, what appeared on the screen versus what she was singing were two different things. She'd be talking to the audience yet the voiceover was of her, singing. It was jarring to see the lack of coherence in the edits. She referenced working with other famous artists yet none appeared, not even once. An annoying "announcement" saying "Rockstar" over and over was plain weird and annoying. The editors failed miserably. Opposite of Taylor Swift's concert, which I saw three times in the theater. I hadn't payed attention to Taylor's music either, but now I'm a huge Swiftie. These two completely different experiences show just how important it is to have an excellent, qualified group of editors who enhance the experience rather than take away from it.
