I didn't see the first "Becky", so watching several references to that movie flashing by in the first minutes of this sequel was a bit confusing. But after that, this "Wrath of Becky" totally helt its own and I had a ball with it!
Yes, it's extremely farfetched (a 16yr old teenage girl fighting as some sort of blond mini-Ninja, single-handedly killing 5 heavy armed criminals!), and yes, the violence and gore is totally over the top. But oh boy, it's just such great fun to let yourself go with that silly flow!! The pace is high, the story is pleasantly one-dimensional and simple, and the acting of Sean William Scott and Aaron Dalla Villa as the bad guys is great. But the star and indefatigable pivot of the show is Lulu Wilson, she's cute, funny and in spite of her innocent and angelic appearance she's somehow even convincing as the sly and relentless avenger.
