Spanish horror rarely disappoints. I was a fan of the film Veronica, so I will very much looking forward to the prequel Sister Death (Hermana muerte)
This film is fascinating with a storyline that is intriguing and slowly reveals its climax, which is well worth the time.
If you are a fan of jump scare, paint by number horror films then Sister Death might not be for you. Spanish horror has evolved from the predictable into a thinking well executed horror machine, with the cogs lubricated with blood.
The acting is also extremely good. It is a shame that films like this don't make it to a cinema run.
If only The Nun had been able to harness the atmosphere and eeriness of Sister Death.
