It's basically a dating sim with some crpg elements. The combat is incredibly easy, even on tactician mode, and super boring. The main story and companion stories are repetitive and uninspiring. The whole game feels very superficial, like all it has going for it is looks, yet little depth.
It has missing dialogue and reactions, as well as some storyline bugs and performance issues. While this is mostly seen in act 3, there are some in the other 2 acts as well. It's been out for 3 months and it's still a buggy mess. Also, earlier choices don't really matter, there's only 3 possible endings anyway and they're all very lackluster.
I hate it when gaming companies tell you that there's all this player choice and how those choices matter, only to find out that it was all a lie. Based on the way Larian described it, I was expecting multiple pathways with numerous outcomes. How disappointing.
