Iti s a sweet, thoughtful and introspective film, in which magic and a small town's reality meets with man's spirit. I left the film inspired and this, if a film can do anything, must be the greatest achievment for a film. The actors felt in place, though at times their accents might be heavy, and i was througly enjoying this small town's memory, full of fortune and misfortune. I think this is a very rich story and it wasn't lost or bogged down but every scene had one thing in it that reemed the story and proggessed the narrative. I felt connected and i felt wonder in the scale of this story. With the great setpiece of nature, The Shipping News, is an inspiring and heartwarming story.
