The main character- who's name I can't remember because it's equally strange and yet forgettable- looks like Linguine- the guy from Pixar's Ratatouille. I can barely even pay attention to anything else in the movie because I just want to see the rat in his hair that's pulling the strings to make him act.
The movie is absurd. Jlaw is adorable and fun and funny but she wasn't given much to work with. She's tasked with bringing the kid "out of his shell" but he's already pretty extroverted: singing songs and playing piano at a restaurant with barely any encouragement, going to a party and trying to sleep with someone immediately...
I'd watch it again as background noise with friends or fall asleep to it.
