I thought you wouldn't know what the honest way was

The Wind In The Willows and Sleepy Hollow(half a century before Tim Burton did a brilliant reinterpretation of it) retold using marketable cute animals.

In certain parts of the world you can stream this on Disney+. This was the last in a line of their feature length animated pictures doing more than one story in each. After this, they would return to solo ones. I think anthologies can have a lot of strengths, but I do think this company is at its best when the entire running time is dedicated to the themes, characters and plot of only one fairy tale or historical account.

With that said, this does deliver what we expect from something Walt was involved with. Charm, varied comedy, songs with catchy tunes and memorable lyrics, good voice acting, a legitimately interesting plot, and tense situations that have you wondering how everything is resolved. It's even legitimately creepy when that is called for - I swear, someone working on these thought a dark forest was the most terrifying thing in the universe and/or that untamed nature was the most off-putting thing known to man. Not saying they're wrong, it's just wild to me how many of these that element appears in(an argument could be made for, all up to and including this film). I really wish they didn't have the misogyny near the end, where the prospect of dancing with an overweight woman is treated as a fate worse than death. Also, today it's kind of disturbing seeing police being excessively violent being treated as a funny joke for children.

I recommend this to completists. 7/10.
