I have fond memories of Today from the 80s when Jane Pauley and Bryant Gumbal pretty much owned the show and they treated their guests with respect, even if they disagreed with them. It was worth watching them, and their rapport seemed quite genuine, although things got a bit rocky when Bryant's memo about his colleagues was leaked.
Anyway, it's changed since then. Lester Holt, who seems affable, was incredibly rude big time when interviewing a Korean-American over the Virginia Tech shooting which was perpetrated by a Korean. Seriously Lester, with his racial background you'd think he'd be more sensitive racially.
