Completed the story mode on Sunday and throughout my play, I was blown away by how clever the story was. Covering the multiple ending to MK11's Aftermath storyline was genius, (which had left me wondering how the next/this installment would play out after finishing MK11's additional story DLC). The new take on old favourites feels fresh and very welcome. Those that have primarily been villains in past installments of the Mortal Kombat series, now get to experience being the good guys and it's all done in a fantastic way - as are all the nods/Easter eggs to previous titles.
The mid-credit scene has already got me very excited for the next installment, but lets hope Netherealm give us Injustice 3 first.....we've been waiting long enough for the closing part to that brilliant series.
