It's supposed to be about systemic racism BUT the execution of it is so cloudy and abstract. The premise is ridiculous. A black woman controlling other black women (a cult) with a special hair grease. Huh??? I only stuck with it because the first few episodes were so mysterious and I wanted to know what the big secret was. If it wasn't for Malaika, this series would have lacked being entertaining. Of course she played the typical, ghetto acting best friend who is always down for a fight. I was really lost is whatever the author of this story was trying to say. If anyone understands it, please explain!
