I was not expecting to like the original Vacancy as much as I did, this one however did not have quite the same finesse as it's predecessor.
In many of the ways the first one was an above average experience is exactly where this one was lacking. The pacing was up and down and it became repetitive at times. It also leaned more towards the torture porn side opposed to a thrilling cat and mouse. The acting was also hit or miss and the camera work was a little crazy throughout.
I think its biggest problem at the end of the day was nothing particularly interesting happened. It was fine enough and moderately entertaining landing it in the middle of the road as pretty mediocre. Would recommend but certainly in no rush.
