Review of Sitting in Bars with Cake

Watching the movie with knowing what it was about, definitely caught this viewer off guard. Having watched Boys On The Side at least a hundred times over the years, Sitting In Bars With Cake comes in a credible second place. The storyline is very similar however in Bars With Cake the ladies we're already friends. It would have created greater depth in the movie if they spent a little more time exploring there past and how they became who they were today. One also really had no idea how the other members of the bar group all came together. The music was good but definitely faded more into the background, which in a movie with many bar screen was not as memorable. Overall, it was a good movie.
