As a military healthcare professional, I would say this film is totally not realistic at all from the medical point of view. Some examples: 1. You can't straight away conclude a patient is dead just because she got no pulse! 2. Disobeying your senior doctor and performing a surgery that you are not qualified to do it? You will be fired if happen in real life and have legal consequences.
I do really hope any film producer who wish to film medical related drama please hire a qualified healthcare professional as your medical advisor. If not your film will be roasted by others just like Grey's Anatomy and House, MD.
