This was an interesting little film. I see some posts tear it apart it's a movie ppl lighten up! What we get is total escapism that doesn't follow history but a version of it that Hollywood believes ppl could relate to. We get Audie Murphy as Jesse James with his brother Frank , the younger boys and Kit Dalton in tow heading to join Col Quantrill against the Union army. Once he discovers the other side is just as ruthless, he tries to back out, but does continue to stand by Quantrill. The story build as the raids continue, the climax of the story is an interesting twist in character for Donlevy (Quantrill) I don't want to give it away but this film is a decent watch. 3/5.
