(2005) Murder On The Border THRILLER/ DRAMA

Low budget and straight to rental film starts out with a shooting of a Mexican boy waving a stick by an arrogant Border Patrol Officer. The border patrol office station who the officer works for then hire a young Hispanic born lawyer whose a US citizen to help defend him, and at the same time his sister almost gets herself assaulted by a drunkard Hispanic person while living on the bad side of town motivating her and the rest of the family to escape across the border illegally since his father was denied once for a prior criminal conviction who was caught stealing food to feed his family. The arrogant officer who also knows about the lawyer's complicated predictament situation attempts to strike up a deal with him to assist him in aiding him to do just that if he can succeed in acquitting him for this shooting. And at the same time, a Hispanic female reporter is doing her darndest to get to the lawyers family before the arrogant officers men does. Simplistic, like something that was thought up while watching the news or by newspapers with many inconsistencies and a lot of bad acting with no English subtitles, just Hispanic people speaking English without making out what they're trying to say sometimes with a good percentage of the time speaking Spanish without any English subtitles on the bottom on my DVD copy. And despite the happy ending this film is more bad than good.
