I find it kinda kismet that both actresses whose characters needed an abortion in this one but also another film that tackles the same issue, 4, 3, 2, are romanian and both are called Anamaria.
By the way, kudos to Anamaria Vartolomei. She did a fantastic job as the purpose driven woman that wanted control on her destiny. Also, appreciated the timeless feel of the movie, even set in the '60s, it doesn't feel that way all that much. Also, a nice trick financially, that saved a lot of money.
Ironically, in the same period, abortions were legal in Romania, but after '66 up until '89 they were banned. There are a lot of connections between France and Romania, always have been. And this film along with its theme is one of them.
