Review of Star Slammer

Derivative of the far better Roger Corman produced Women in Prison films, which, even though some were trash, are still better than this. It's a pretty sad state of affairs when not even the promise of feminine pulchritudity can't keep my attention. The usual tropes are checked off, enemies among other prisoners, nudity, lesbians trying to seduce the 'new fish'. If some of the music at the beginning sounds familiar, it's the first four notes of The Raiders of the Lost Ark march on a loop. All the space effects are stolen, er borrowed, from other films. Too bad the action isn't as well. A lame, lifeless movie, it's one of, but not the worst movie I've ever seen. But it's damn close.
