Good Premise, But Doesn't Reach Potential
24 May 2023
This film follows the way a financial trading firm reacts to the looming 2008 financial crisis. After a day trader discovers that a crisis is about to happen, he takes his findings to his boss who doesn't know what to do, who then takes it to his boss who doesn't know what to do, who then takes it to his boss who doesn't know what to do (this continues until we reach the CEO).

It's a unique film, with an interesting concept but that also proves to be quite forgettable (proven by the fact that my wife and I watched it about 5 years ago and she didn't remember a single thing about it). It's not a bad movie, and the cast of actors is quite star-studded, it's just doesn't quite reach its full potential.

I think most people would enjoy it, but it is probably most appropriate for those familiar with big finance.
