Not at all what I was expecting. However, I was pleasantly surprised. It was very refreshing to see Dax Shepard take on a non-comedic role. (I was impressed with his performance) I think the subject matter is relatable and heavy. For long term marriages that haven't outright ended with infidelity. It is a raw insight to the emotional turmoil caused by wanting to please your spouse, by not taking a stance against their proposal. As well as the inner turmoil of knowing and not knowing. As a viewer I feel like we all knew how this would play out. True to form. I only wish that they would have shown more of their relationship before and after the freebie. All in all a good movie.
