Dear Sidewalk (2013)
7/10
Mostly enjoyable, but didn't live up to its full potential

I have to admit, this was mostly a funny, dazzling, and thought-provoking movie. The casting was just about perfect, right down to the sweet elderly woman who is best friends with this neurotic main character. Turning 25 - the quarter life crisis - is a special event in anyone's life. I feel that this movie captures the apprehension of such an occasion. I enjoyed seeing Gardner break free from his self-inflicted routine and try and figure out his life's direction, all while tackling the world of dating.

I got lost in the last 20 or so minutes though. While the relationship between Gardner and Paige was well established, we are left in the dark about where they're headed. The ending was rushed.

I would have wanted to see what was written on the letter that Gardner wrote Paige or maybe have a backstory on what happened to Gardner's parents. But for all intents and purposes, it works as a romantic comedy.
