Not sure why they changed the title from Wolf Manor to Scream of the Wolf. Maybe to makes it more acceptable to a US audience? But wolves don't scream, so.....
The English have been making a slew of horror movies lately and most of them have a comic tint to them. This does too. It has the look of those old Hammer films from the 60's and 70's but with some Brit humor thrown in.
The old actor "vampire" is pretty good in his role but a lot of the peripheral characters arent so good. It's aptly directed, although a tad slow, which is odd considering it's short running time of an hour and 15 minutes!
The weak point of the film is clearly the writing, which never allows the movie to take off.
The wolf, BTW is a guy in a hairy suit who could also be a gorilla if they changed the head.
