I hesitated to watch As Bestas as it is based on a true story and I happened to see a documentary about the family a while ago. The widow who still lives in the house she and her husband bought was interviewed and it made an impression on me. The movie showed the events for the most as it happened, they changed the nationality of the foreigners making their home in rural Spain. It's not a thriller or an action packed movie and it seems slow at times and yes the ending isn't perfectly gift-wrapped closure but that's life.
