Bloody hell!

If you're looking for a wild ride, you'll definitely find it with 'The Trip'.

Lars (Aksel Hennie) is a TV director. His wife Lisa (Noomi Rapace) is an actress. Their marriage is rocky, to say the least. They decide to go to their summer home to spend time together. But meantime both have plans of killing the other. I honestly thought I was going to sit through a two hour movie watching a couple trying to kill one another, but this movie was full of surprises.

Just when you thought there were enough reveals for you to chew on, three men came crashing down the ceiling (uhm, literally!). Immediately, the tables were turned and we were in for a whole new ball game. Suddenly Lars and Lisa's murderous inclinations had to make way for survival instinct. It became a cat and mouse game filled with bone-crunching fight sequences, and blood.

The men are escaped convicts; unsavoury characters out to take what they can get - and I guarantee you're going to hate them. With the film being so unpredictable I actually couldn't wait for the ending just to see how - or if - Lars and Lisa would outwit them. I'm not going to do spoilers, so you'll have to find out for yourself! And what happens to their relationship...

Bloody freakin' hell, the final act is a very wild - and bloody - ride! The effects are gross and destined to make you cringe and squirm. Not everyone will be able to stomach it, but if you can, you'll have a good time with 'The Trip'.

Would I watch it again? Will I sound like a sadist if I say yes?
