Besides the clichés being predictable and too on the nose, dialogue runs stagnant. The ending gives no dialogue no resolution. I ended the movie aghast saying, "You're really going to end it here?" Such lazy coitus, one fakes climax to get it over with. The whole movie conveyed that any improvements one makes in their life turn them into lifeless, soulless normal people. Once Elmo took a bat to the face like that, I could not believe they put him in the hospital for even more build up. Then, as soon as the pan-away started without any resolution to another conflict, I was irate. An exploitative delivery.
