Inspired from actual events and main character, this is not a comedy, but a drama. Not a depressing, gloomy drama but a rather compelling and interesting tale. This story is unusual and the Tony Curtis choice is the best that we could think of; but I still think Steve McQueen would also have been perfect for this kind of character. This story is the best proof that reality, true facts and events are sometimes more unbelievable than fiction. Destined to all audiences, it is an interesting choice for Tony Curtis who, before this movie, was rather employed at Universal Studios in stupid but agreeable costume adventure films.
