A bit dull for a thriller
15 January 2023
With a cast as great as this the true crime is that it's a bit dull. Michael Caine tries his best as Harry, the ex spy and now Jazz restaurant owner, who now finds himself involved in dark dealings with a former colleague. The problem is Stacy played by Sean Young, the character is totally awful and the romance with Harry is completely unbelievable. There are decent moment though, especially when Ian Holm and Bob Hoskins are involved, but these aren't enough to pick the film above the average. Look out for a cameo by the Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts playing in a jazz band in Harry's bar.
