Hayley (Cora Kirk) and James (Asa Butterfield) met in drama school and fell in love. Now they are going to their respective homes for Christmas.
Only at the last minute, both decide to switch trains. James ends up in Hayley's train but she is not there as Hayley moved to James train.
On arrival. Hayley finds out that James is the son of an Earl. His father is cold and aloof after the death of his wife. More importantly, his father thinks that James is in military school. The family come from a long line of soldiers.
Meanwhile James ends up with Hayley's working class family who have no idea that James is Hayley's boyfriend.
When they finally talk to each other on the phone and realise the mix up. Both are astonished with various revelations such as Hayley being engaged to a soldier.
Billed as a feelgood comedy. The story is forced, not that charming and I found a lot of the movie irritating.
It is certainly not funny or even believable. The main leads are flat and have no chemistry.
