Review of Bedlam of Beards

I usually begin my reviews with a synopsis, but not this time, because this is as absurd and sense-free as any of Clark & McCullough's shorts; the whole thing is an excuse to go into a door-slamming routine in which McCullough, Clark, McCullough, Hayes -- who's credited as George Hays -- and probably McCullough, all wearing beards, exit through the same door to sneak into pretty maid Vivian Fields' room. The logic in setting it up, as usual, is specious. If you can ignore that, the routine is pretty good, worthy of Friz Freleng directing Bugs Bunny.

This probably played for fourteen minutes, then someone noticed that the Production Code had clamped down, and pulled it.
