Highly enjoyable Stephen King adaptation with great cast

Highly enjoyable Stephen King adaptation by Director John Lee Hancock.

Oozes that Stephen King vibe from the onset.

Jaeden Martell had a huge job carrying the film on his young shoulders but succeded with visible ease. His acting skills show true maturity beyond age. He is going to be a hugely successful actor.

Seasoned actor Donald Sutherland holds your attention firmly as always, his screen presence has never been in doubt and the character of Mr Harrigan himself was in suitable hands.

The film never goes full on into the supernatural, holding itself on the edges and dips it's toes in occasionally (with tense creepy effectiveness) tending to delve more into the real world emotions and consequences of grieth and loss.

Mr Harrigan did leave me wanting more. There feels like there is so much more to learn about Mr Harrigan and I'd certainly welcome a prequel story or another that tells us more about thise 'terrible Memories'. I guess as it was based on a short story by King there wasn't much to work with.

A very enjoyable film, well directed and fantastically cast.
