The dehumanization of vegans as a comedy
25 September 2022
This Movie is not an intelligent satire on carnism and veganism. The slow-paced story is full of cliche and silly jokes, mostly at the expense of a minority who live a different lifestyle for ethical reasons.

In the first third of the film, all the jokes have already been used up and are just annoying. It's all about brutally slaughtering vegan people at the right moment. These very bloody scenes are presented in such a way that it should be funny.

You can literally feel the hate and contempt for vegan people that this film conveys with drastic images. Mind you, no people are hunted in this movie who have bad intentions, but people who value the life of every living being are hunted. It's supposed to be cool and funny when the butcher brutally kills a vegan until the blood spurts. But these vegan people are portrayed as complete idiots who don't understand their own way of life.

In the end I asked myself what the film was actually trying to say: "Meat is meat and vegans are too stupid and too tasty to let them live." This is exactly what many people think of farm animals.
