They were obviously trying to change things up with this Tarzan movie. They take him out of the jungle and put him in the desert of all places. It seems kind of weird at first, but it's also kind of fun to see him in a different environment, especially such a contrast to the famous Tarzan jungle.
There's a female heroine who is not Jane. She's a traveling entertainer who once worked in Vaudeville and other assorted places. The movie almost seems like it's more about her than about Tarzan. She does have the best line in the movie which goes like this: "Well, here were are, a kid, a monkey, a horse thief, and an accused murderer, all hunting for fever medicine." That sums up the movie very nicely.
As for Cheetah, I really enjoyed Cheetah in this movie. Cheetah has lots of good funny scenes.
I'll wrap up this review and say that the movie is fairly enjoyable and even quite fun at times. And may we all, when times get rough, find the spirit of Tarzan within ourselves.
